The Job: To design a team model inline skate.
For this project I had the opportunity to design aggressive inline skates. My goal was to create an appealing inline skate that was durable, sustainable, and affordable. I initially drew inspiration from sneakers and snowboarding boots, but as the project progressed I found myself more inspired by furniture and automobile interior. Throughout the design and development process I worked closely with professional inline skaters to ensure that the product was properly tested. I maintained my involvement through the production and manufacturing process’s to make certain that the integrity of my design was upheld. Below are some of my original inline skate illustrations. The experience I gained as a designer during the course of this project is priceless.

The Job: To design a signature model inline skate.
Designing a signature model inline skate was a great experience. I worked closely with professional inline skater Jon Julio throughout the development process. It was up to me to convert his personal style and preferences into a skate that would best represent him. The resulting design was a fresh, simple skate with strong lines. Below I provided one of my initial illustrations along side a limited edition version of the skate.

The Job: To design an inline skate liner.
Inside of inline skates there are removable liners. A skates liner is one of the biggest factors in creating a comfortable skate. I knew I wanted to design a lightweight, breathable liner with plenty of ankle support. Eyelets for laces and better air circulation were a couple design changes made in the liners development process. Below are some initial illustrations of the liner, and some sample photos of the liner being developed.
